An inspiration photo gives you a starting point for a hair extension consultation. It becomes more useful when you can explain what you like about the look and show our team your current hair. Bring those two things together: a clear view of your starting point and a short description of the change you want.
Choose the part of the look you love
Our studio portraits offer three different styling references: defined brunette waves, blonde texture and a sleek ponytail. You might be drawn to the movement, the outline of the hair or the way it is worn away from the face. Name that detail when you share your reference.
These photographs are style inspiration. The portrait you prefer does not identify the extension method, product or amount of hair that would suit you. For more visual ideas, explore our Original Diva style gallery.
Show your current hair as well
Use a clear, recent photograph of your own hair in natural light for colour advice. Include the lengths and ends you want our team to assess. Keep your current-hair photograph separate from your inspiration picture so it is clear which shows your starting point.
If you are planning a haircut or colour change, mention it before choosing extensions. For online shade advice, send your current-hair photo through our free colour-matching form.
Ask three practical questions
1. Which part of this look is realistic for my starting hair?
Explain whether your priority is extra length, fuller ends or a particular styled finish. Ask what your natural length, cut and density mean for that goal. The answer can help you decide which part of the reference to prioritise.
2. How would the choice work with the way I wear my hair?
Tell our team if you usually wear your hair loose, tied back or both. Mention whether you want occasional removable wear or are considering a professionally fitted method. Ask about suitable placement, application and care for your own routine.
3. Which product details should I compare before deciding?
For clip-ins, compare the selected style’s length, weight and piece count in the current clip-in range. Our guide to reading clip-in product photos explains how to check a construction image against the written specification. For a salon fitting, ask our team to assess the method and amount of hair before purchasing hair separately.
Put your idea into a short brief
For example: “I would like more fullness through the ends. I usually wear my hair down, but I also want to discuss tied-back styles. I like the movement in this reference. Can you help me choose a suitable option and shade?”
You do not need to arrive with a product already chosen. Bring your photographs and priorities, then ask for help with the next step.
Salon consultations are at our Hunters Hill studio. We will contact you to confirm availability; an online request does not reserve a time.
