Which permanent extension method is right for you?

Tape Hair Extensions

Flat adhesive tabs designed to sit close to the head. Tape can suit many fine-to-medium hair types when the amount, placement and maintenance schedule are appropriate. Original Diva’s tape salon installation is $160 per 25g pack for either 20-inch or 22-inch hair, including hair, installation, cut and style.

Micro Ring / I-Tip Extensions

Individual strands attached with small beads and no heat or glue. They may suit clients who prefer an adhesive-free method, but suitability still depends on hair strength, density and the amount of extension weight used. Current salon installation is $160 per 25g pack in 20-inch length, including hair, installation, cut and style.

Weft Extensions

Continuous strips of human hair fitted using a row-based method. Wefts can add substantial density efficiently and often suit medium-to-thicker natural hair where there is enough density to support the row. Weft installation pricing is confirmed at consultation because the amount and fitting method vary by client.

Why Original Diva human hair?

Original Diva specifies 100% human, silicone-free extension hair across its range. Human hair can be washed and heat-styled with appropriate care, but lifespan varies with wear, washing, heat, chemical processing, maintenance and storage.

What does permanent hair extensions mean?

Permanent methods stay fitted between salon appointments, rather than being clipped in and removed each day. They still require maintenance, professional removal and a fitting plan suited to your natural hair. If you want removable hair instead, compare our clip-in human hair extensions.

How often do permanent extensions need maintenance?

Maintenance timing varies by method, natural hair growth and condition. Tape fittings are commonly reviewed around every 6–8 weeks and micro rings around every 8–12 weeks; weft schedules depend on the fitting method and growth. Your installer may recommend a different interval.

Do permanent extensions damage natural hair?

No extension method is risk-free. Excessive weight, poor placement, delayed maintenance or incorrect removal can stress natural hair. A professional assessment and conservative fitting plan are especially important for fine, fragile or actively shedding hair.

Can I swim and exercise with permanent extensions?

Yes, but chlorine, saltwater, sweat and sleeping with wet hair can increase dryness or tangling. Secure the hair appropriately, rinse after swimming and follow the aftercare instructions for your method.
