Original Diva Tape Extensions are ultra-thin wefts of 100% Remy human hair with medical-grade adhesive tabs designed to sit completely flat against your scalp. They are the most requested permanent extension method at our Hunters Hill Sydney salon — and the favourite of stylists across Australia who stock Original Diva wholesale.
Tape-ins are virtually invisible, lightweight, and comfortable for all-day wear. Two adhesive tabs sandwich a thin section of your natural hair between them, creating a bond that lasts 6–8 weeks. Original Diva tape extensions are specifically engineered to be re-taped and reused for multiple cycles — so you pay for the hair once and wear it for 6–9 months.
Tape vs clip-in: Tape-ins are permanent (no daily application), but require salon installation and 6–8 week maintenance. Clip-ins are DIY but need putting in daily.
Tape vs micro ring: Tape is faster to install and flatter, but micro rings are gentler on very fine hair because they use no adhesive.
Tape vs weft: Tape gives a more natural flat finish per strand; wefts add more density per piece.

Use sulphate-free shampoo (sulphates dissolve adhesive). Brush gently starting at ends. Sleep with hair braided or in a silk pillowcase. Avoid oil-based products near the bonds. Book maintenance every 6–8 weeks.
How long do tape extensions last? The hair lasts 6–9 months with proper care. Refitting every 6–8 weeks.
Can the tape damage my hair? No — medical-grade adhesive is gentle on natural hair. Proper removal causes zero damage.
Can I wash and style normally? Yes — wash, blow-dry, curl and straighten as normal. Just use sulphate-free products.
